Backwards Publishing was a digital, independent publishing platform designed in 2008.

Before the release of iBooks, I went through the process of developing an independent publishing platform—complete with authoring tool, document uploader, library, and more. Backwards Publishing would deliver novels, essays, papers, and presentations across all devices and in the form of a physical book. It included a built-in drag-and-drop ad platform, from which the author and the publisher would receive revenue outside of sales.
