The Nike Chalkbot connected people around the world to the roads travelled by the riders in the Tour de France to share messages of hope and Cancer survival via the traditions of the race—chalk drawings on the road.

In 2010, the Nike Chalkbot hit the streets for the second year in a row. This time with a few extra tricks. We designed a bilingual (English and French) iPad app and web-based map (embedded across 17 different sites including Facebook, Nike.com and Livestrong.org) for fans to easily submit messages of hope and explore submissions from around the world. Each message submitted was visualized by a pin and every message that was printed on the road was viewable through a gallery of photos.
